10 years – Achievement Unlocked

We started this adventure through the games industry 10 years ago, being a small team of passionate people that wanted to create amazing games and ignite the industry in Mexico and Latin America. Today we look back and see all the way that we have traveled, all the projects, all the people that shared this story, all the “ups” and “downs” that the business represents, every success and failure; and we cannot be more proud of ourselves to have come so far. This is just the beginning, there is so much more in our story, we are ready for the next level.

Today we are better than ever, developing great projects for our clients and for our own catalog. With all this experience gained in 10 years by developing, creating, innovating, reaching goals that seemed impossible, letting valuable people go, incorporating to our team new talent, solving problems of all kinds and creating industry; today we are a solid company, one of the most promising studios in Latin America, with a global culture, always looking to leave our mark in everything we do, generating value to our company for our people.

We know exactly where we want to be tomorrow, and we are working hard to get there. Although we needed to reinvent ourselves a couple times, today our company is on  the right direction. We have a very ambitious plan for the following years, we will publish more and better games throughout different platforms and we are going to get our IPs to new media. We are convinced that we have all the right tools and experience to achieve our goals and continue our contribution to our region, to transform it into a video game development super power. We love what we do and every project that we work on represents new challenges that we must overcome.

Thanks to all the people involved in our 10 year story, thanks to all the players that have played our games, thanks to all our clients that trust us and are helping us to grow, thanks to all our colleagues that we have collaborated with, specially the Latin American studios, with whom we have been opening the way through the industry together. Most of all, we thank our families that have always been there, trusting us and supporting us in every step of the way.

Our first 10 years represent an important milestone for our company, sounds easy, but it has only been achieved thanks to the work and effort of many people, and thanks to their passion. In October 8th 2007 we started this adventure, in October 8th 2017 we achieved our most important goal yet. Thanks for being part of this story, and if you are not yet part of it, we want you to be. Our next 10 years will be full of action, adventure, strategy and lots of passion.

Mexican Pride

Last week, two of our games were featured in a special featuring by the Apple App Store called “Mexican Pride”:

  1. Spirits of Spring: This game is a co production between Minority Media and Larva GS. The game was released in October 2014 only for the App Store and rapidly became one of the Mexican gamer’s favorite. The development of this game took around 3 years. In the early days the game was known as Silent Enemy and it changed a lot since the first concept. Initially the game was intended to be for PS Vita. The gameplay was designed exclusively for the Vita’s front and back touchpad. During different iterations by Minority, the game started to change one of the major changes was the end platform. The game came out in October as an App Store exclusive.Developing this game was an incredible experience, we loved working with Minority and learned so much from them.Find more information about this game here.
  2. Night Vigilante: This is Larva Game Studios’ first released original IP. The game is the story of Nolan Vileno, a guy that was framed and incarcerated for a crime he didn’t commit. After escaping jail he became a vigilante for his own city and starts fighting thief, thugs and organized crime. This game came out this year for Google Play and the App Store.Creating this game was a huge challenge, we wanted to get a very original look and feel for the game and simulate printed comic books to have the best possible experience.
